A Book Review: JPod by Douglas Coupland

"JPod." This book is about a group of individuals who work for a software company. They all work in the same work pod. The book follows their work and family interactions.

I'm not exactly sure if there is a point to the book. It is just a nice read. Nothing brilliant to the storyline, but it keeps you entertained.

Of course, one of the great things about Douglas Coupland is his flair for language. Some of the recent books I've read of his seemed to lack catchy sentences. Perhaps he realized this, because there are a handful of pages that skip the storytelling and delve into current cultural thinking. Here's an example: "Chances are you feel superior to almost everyone you work with -- however, they probably feel the same way about you." Love it.
