Country music took over the WFNM showcase at Hotel Ziggy back in August. It was admittedly a brief, but memorable, takeover as the night was a diversity of genres that also include big time vocals, pop tunes, and the blues. The country artist of the night was Mallory Warman.

Warman came up on stage wearing a denim jacket with long fringes that made it into a combo jacket-skirt deal. Worn with the jacket was what she called "someone's grandma's lingerie" and country Texas white boots. The quirky fashion statement, witty lyrics, and comedic facial expressions had me thinking about another Los Angeles based country band, The Doohickeys.

And since I do enjoy watching the occasional western (drama or comedy) on Turner Classic Movies, I really was waiting for a bar fight to breakout at Hotel Ziggy. A bar fight would have added that country touch where the bartender takes a bottle of whisky and knocks out one of the individuals involved in the fight and those involved in the fight would be breaking chairs and throwing tables. The fighting would only ends when the town sheriff barged through the saloon doors. All during the fight, Warman would continue to sing and her band would keeping on playing while avoiding the occasional thrown whisky bottle. Meanwhile, I would be doing my photography thing, I suppose with a 5 x 8 camera, because there would be no mirrorless camera in this imaged moment.

Maybe my imagination is getting the better of me.
Currently Warman only has one song out on the Internet called "Part Time Man." She posted this description on Spotify that should get you laughing, "We are seeking a kind-hearted yet low-maintenance man to bring on part time. Less than a lover, but more than a one night stand . . . Full time positions are not currently available, but promotions may be discussed at quarterly reviews."
