Izora (the moniker for Shreya Jaswal) has Hollywood star power that was in the spotlight during a September WFNM showcase at Bar Lubitsch. Her band took the stage while she stood out in the audience. A voice over introduced the set, "Welcome to the experience. This is Izora." The band then went orchestral rock. The end result of that introduction was that her guitarist busted a string as Izora took to the stage to sing the opening song "SPIN YOU IN CIRCLES".

Her bio has the following:
Izora is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter whose cinematic alt-pop sound fuses ethereal textures with emotionally charged storytelling . . . Now 22, Izora has released her debut EP Vertigo—a bold, immersive body of work that explores themes of memory, desire, power, and self-reclamation.
She showed a real comfort on stage. It felt like she was being swept away by her own music. Yet, she was still aware of the moment. At one point in the set, she stopped the band in mid song to tell the audience an unusual fact, "It's illegal to shove a moose out of a plane in Alaska. I don't know why that is a law, but it is a law." Per Google AI, it is also illegal to give alcohol to a moose and whisper in the ear of a moose hunter in Alaska. What's up with all these Alaskan moose laws.

She gave out a shout out to Grant Owens (WFNM), telling him that when she was a young teenager, she watched Billie Eilish on WFNM. A full circle moment for Izora as she was now on the WFNM stage. It also showed the reach of WFNM across the globe.
Comment of the set: I need a sip of water, because you guys are too f*cking hot.

When she sang "Feel Better" (her first released song), the audience showed that they were sold on her music when she asked the question, "Do you really want to know?" They responded, "Yeah!" That got a chuckle out of Izora. That response fit so well with her next song. She ended the set with the Madonna inspired sultriness "Yeah." She once again stepped out into the audience and did a twirl with a friend. She then played it up with her band.
The song spotlight goes to the keyboard driven "BRING ME DOWN." It highlights her vocal talents. Back in an April Instagram post she wrote, "For anyone who has ever felt silenced, underestimated or pushed to the edge, this one is for you."

This time
I’ve healed all my wounds
You know I’m immune
I will survive
I should mention that fellow Indian and WFNM alumni Sakshi Chopra was in the audience. You can read my review of her song "Not My Fault" here.
Setlist: SPIN YOU IN CIRCLES, SATISFIED, BRING ME DOWN, COPYCAT (Billie Eilish cover), Feel Better, YEAH.
