Okay, a bit painful in the end, but this was an exciting game. The first five minutes of the game was lopsided with Duke down by double digits, but Duke slowly got itself back into the game. By half time, Duke was down by only two. It looked for awhile like Duke was going separate itself from Maryland in the second half, but Maryland kept it close. It was anyone’s ballgame with less than a minute to go.
The good:
Andre Dawkins looks like he is picking up his game.
Though not significant, there were signs again of Duke getting the ball into the middle.
The bad:
Maryland shot a good number of three-balls.
Duke lost.
Updated 3/7: One item I failed to mention is how impressed I am with Duke's ability to defend on a fast break. It is amazing how often there is a 1 on 3 or something like that and Duke is able to defend.
