Grant Owens, founder of WFNM, was celebrating his birthday at Bar Lubitsch. One of the artists performing was vocal talent Sāde Frame. Back in 2021, she got an American Idol golden ticket. A year later, she won one of the the weekly "Love Song" contests held by the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for her song "Dating Isn't Fun," which was the first song she performed for the birthday party festivities.

Her Spotify bio has the following details, "The Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist opens up about Gen-Z relationships, childhood friendships, and lifelong dreams with both youthful candor and wisdom-beyond-her-years." She is someone who openly discusses her life. Being right there in the middle of Gen Z, she was in high school during the Covid pandemic. For the song "Someone Else," she mentioned that her family moved to Hawaii during the pandemic. She was 15 at the time and found it hard to form friendships and started to day dream about being . . . someone else. The pandemic passed and at the age of 19 she moved to Los Angeles to pursue music. With young adulthood arriving, she realized that "you needed to get a job." Her song "Ferrari" is about her thinking about her future self and potential music success.

When she was younger, she was involved in musical theater and that background has influenced her performance style. For the song "Hundred Thousand Words," she introduced the song by saying, "It's about a time in my life that I experienced recently. It's hard to talk about verbally. Something are better explained through an art form kind of like songwriting." I would say that she excels at not just verbal expression of her feelings, but also via her "theater" eyes. Silent actor Lon Chaney is known as "The Man of a Thousand Faces." She channels that same spirit with her ability to express her music through a thousand eyes.

The song spotlight goes to her February release "I Need You (No I Don't)." A song about a guy who is still exploring the field? It is a song that highlights her pop vocal range. You're noncommittal
