Before playing her set, Hana Giraldo took a seat on the couches at WFNM's showcase at Hotel Ziggy. She got to catch a few songs from Tanja (read a prior review here). Tanja did a few dance moves in the direction of Giraldo who was grooving to the dreamy pop tunes. The two appeared to have made a friendship connection with each other prior to their sets.

Sporting a lace body suit and sunglasses, she sang her club friendly tracks. She introduced her song "Play My Sh*t (ALEXA)" with a chuckle, "Why talk to people when you can talk to their devices?" I think the song is a little deeper than just avoiding people. There's also a hint of growing up with the pressure of having two famous parents:My fans surround me.
Ah, look, ma, I made it.
My song's a smash.
And the pressures of social media:
Everyone lookin' at me, I'm a star.
My closet like a runway, from Paris to Milan.
I slay in every city, I'm a fashion ico-con.
She sang those lyrics with a Madonna "Vogue" flair.
What did I notice: She does have a connection with her sunglasses. During "Paradise," her glasses went flying during one of her more intense hair flings. She immediate went to grabbing a water bottle to hold as a semi-replacement. As soon as the song ended, she went looking for those sunglasses. She was so intent on finding the glasses that the sound guy thought the set was over and she had to mention that she had one more song left on her setlist.
Her Spotify bio has the following:
Born into rock royalty as the daughter of Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, LA-based artist Hana Giraldo crafts edgy dance-pop with a rebellious spirit . . . Drawing inspiration from icons like Lady Gaga and Madonna, Hana brings fierce vocals and irresistible melodies to tracks like her sultry single "Reputation."
Partial Setlist: Play My Sh*t (ALEXA), Broke My Heart, Paradise, Reputation.
