Singer-songwriter Ben Krieger was the highlight of the WFNM Almost Acoustic Showcase at Bar Lubitsch. To start off the set, he played with upbeat "rockstar!" He was initially going to play that song later in his set, but he must have noticed that the crowd was distracted in their conversations. He wanted to catch their attention and he definitely did. After finishing the song, he said he figured "it would be super cool if I just started playing a riff and then everyone just looked up."

His website has this tidbit about him, "There is a 65% chance that I have eaten Chipotle today." Funny thing is that earlier in the day I was talking with a co-worker and mentioned Chipotle. He's also an actor with his most recent credit per IMDB being Tracker on CBS. He played a character with the first name of Ben. He also had a part in Song Sung Blue, the movie that earned Kate Hudson an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.

His set included two songs that were total 180s. The song "i dont even know you" was introduced by him telling the audience this background about the song, "If an ex texts you right now and they're like 'Hey, let's be friends.' And you're like 'no.' And they're like 'You've changed, you're weird.' And you're like 'No, I just hate you.'" A couple songs later he played "LoveSick," which he dedicated to his girlfriend who was sitting off to the side. There was an expression of love exchanged. Is the song about when they first met? Maybe. "What's with the girl from the pharmacy."

The song spotlight goes to "moment," which happens to be his roommate's favorite song. His opening vocals has one thinking of Luke Combs. A song about hoping that someone will give him a second chance.
