Where the crowd was prior to Bunny Lowe (the moniker for Cara Salimando) hitting the stage at Rocknite LA's night at The Goldfish is unknown to me. Let's just say the band was the final set of the night and when I turned around to check out the crowd, the venue was suddenly packed. When she announced that her first song was "Baby Teeth," the crowd roared with enthusiasm. When the song ended, the crowd roared with approval.

At the time of this set, the band's most recent release was "Motel" though "Alter" has subsequently been released. Prior to the start of the song, there was a request for the vocals to be turned up in the monitors. The sound guy mentioned that the sound would need to be pulled back during any yells. Salimando responded that there would be no yells during the song. When I hear those words being said from a stage, I know it is a clue that it will be an emotionally laden song.
In an Instagram post she described it as an acoustic emo song. I would say the song is about falling for the wrong guy (though I've been know to get my song interpretations totally wrong), sticking around for way too long before eventually leaving the relationship emotionally scarred.

The song has many religious references. She did mention a Catholic upbringing earlier in the set.
I tried to nail you to the cross . . .
. . . press the crown of thorns to my head.
As for the other party of the relationship, they're just a "sh*t motel."
Noticed: As the song "Little White Chapel" came to a conclusion, Salimando was slowly reaching for her water bottle. The song perhaps explains the wearing of a white dress (as well as the next song on the setlist called "Catholic Song").

Noticed 2: To end the final song of the night, "Altar," Salimando made a quick throat cutting motion. Her drummer quickly silenced the cymbals.
Noticed 3: Salimando has an occasional death stare when on stage.
Back in May, I complained about not being able to figure out how to start up the video game Area 51. You can read that blog post here. Well, I was determined to try it again. And success. What did I figure out? The slot for the quarter says a quarter, which is deceptive. The default for the game is actually for two players or basically two quarters. At the time of that earlier blog post, I felt like I was losing it or something, but after not hanging out at The Goldfish for a handful of weeks, I was able to approach the game with a new perspective on how to get the video game to start working. Of course, on the other hand, my two quarters lasted only a couple minutes at most. In my old age, I stink at video games.
Setlist: Baby Teeth, Little White Chapel, Catholic Song, Past Present Future, Motel, Altar.
