Duke Basketball vs. Miami: 74-63

Duke was in control throughout this game. Though they only won by 11, it really felt like they won by more -- even though their lead never went much higher than 11.

Some notes:

First half belonged to Nolan Smith. What a clinic.

Ryan Kelly had a couple hot follow-up baskets.

Andre Dawkins put on a clinic in the second half.

The Plumlee brothers need to work on their shots, but they are rebounding monsters.

After seeing some of the earlier games, Duke is seriously much slower without Kyrie Irving.

The announcers seemed to imply that Duke's first twelve games didn't really mean much, because now they were now in ACC conference play. Hmm . . . didn't Duke play Michigan State, Kansas State and Butler? I admit conference play is different, because teams are more familiar with your style, but Duke probably faced better teams in their first twelve games than they'll face in ACC play.
