Duke Basketball vs. NC State: 76-52

First off, way too many fouls called in this game.

Second, Duke played one solid first half and then sort of coasted during the second -- get exactly blame them for that when you have a 29 point lead.

Third, Mason Plumlee had a monster game and during the second half tried out some jump hooks.

Fourth, Josh Hairston went diving for a ball in the second half that he really didn't need to chase down.

Fifth, it was nice to see Andre Dawkins playing some solid defense. He didn't get his shot going, but his defense is key as a few games ago he seemed totally lost on defense.

Sixth, NC State was totally outclassed.

Of concern: Duke's interior defense still stinks. This is their weakness and could result in a major blowout embarrassment in March Madness should they match up with the wrong team -- like getting shown the exit in the second round. The guards have their hands everywhere, forcing turnovers, but once the opponent is able to get past the guards the game immediately opens up. The big men need to figure something out. They're great at getting rebounds, but if the ball goes in the basket there is no rebound opportunity.
