Duke came out intense on defense in this game. It took a few seconds for Duke's offense to kick in, but as soon as it did, they quickly jumped out to a 24-4 lead. Then Virginia Tech slowly made a game of it even though in the end Duke won by 18.
I guess my question while watching the game was: did they just get bored knowing within minutes that Virginia Tech was no match for them or did they get tired after playing playing 5 games in 11 days. I suppose the answer would be playing 5 games in 11 days resulting in Virginia Tech keeping the game close until the end. On the other hand, Duke came out with such intensity on defense that I think they might have just gotten bored.
