Ragamuffs (moniker for Hailey Finesse) recently moved from Honolulu, Hawaii to Los Angeles, California. My family comes from Hawaii so when she mentioned that fact during her Rocknite showcase set at The Airliner Bar, my interest in her music jumped. Rounding out the band on this particular night was Val Sepulveda on drums and Klauds on bass.

The set was filled with dream pop tunes that had Finesse bouncing gracefully across the stage. The drum beats by Sepulveda gave those dream pop sounds a nice kicker. I believe it was the unreleased song "I Wish I Cared" that Finesse mentioned was produced by Jay Som (back in 2025, I covered a Jay Som set for US Rocker Music, you can read that article here).
Comment of the set: Thanks for dancing with me and moving your bodies.

The music had the crowd asking for an encore. Picking up the setlist, Finesse pointed out that the final song of the set "Confiscate My Youth" was in fact their encore. The setlist did clearly mention that the song was considered the encore.
Let's make "Confiscate My Youth" the Song Spotlight. Songs like this often remind me of Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine where the kids are off picking "golden flowers." One doesn't want to grow old too fast, because you just might "die with regrets."
