FIBA World Championship Game, USA vs. Turkey: 81-65

So was I one of the few folks watching the FIBA Championship Game: USA vs. Turkey. Anyways, here’s a nice recap from ESPN. And here are some commentaries from ESPN, Duke Basketball Report and Fox Sports. My thoughts. There was some awesome defense played by the USA basketball team. Kevin Durant looks like he’s going to take over the NBA world sooner rather than later. Lamar Odom played with heart. The excitement that the NBA players showed at the end of the game was emotional. Coach K. has had a nice run of success over the last couple years. I’m not exactly sure why FIBA didn’t allow a rest day between the semi-finals and the finals: games played Saturday/Sunday. I would think you’d want players rested for a championship game.
